AMSSM CRN Announces Request for Proposals After the 2023 Research Summit
Earlier this year, the AMSSM Collaborative Research Network (CRN) hosted a research summit focused on justice, equity, and diversity in sports medicine. Health disparities have been identified across geographic areas, socioeconomic groups, minority and underserved populations, and among many other groups in the United States. They are observed in all areas of health care, including sports and exercise medicine, and include gaps in access to health care, healthcare utilization, health outcomes, and rates of morbidity and mortality.
Application Deadline: 5:00 pm Eastern time on September 15, 2023.
Based on member-identified research questions during the Summit, the AMSSM CRN is releasing this request for proposals, which seeks proposals that address topics related to health disparities in sports medicine and contribute to the growing evidence base.
