Abstract

American Academy of Sports Physical Therapy (AASPT)
The American Academy of Sports Physical Therapy (AASPT) is excited to open registration for the Virtual Team Concept Conference (TCC) on October 1, 2020. TCC is set to take place December 2 to 4, 2020, and all attendees, speakers, vendors, and presenters will be able to attend and participate in several activities from their home or office. AASPT staff and volunteers are working now to turn TCC virtual for all members to attend, and we are striving to offer the same strong programming and networking opportunities that in-person TCC events have provided in the past. Visit our website beginning October 1 at https://www.aaspt.org to register and learn more.
AASPT launched a new community platform on August 31 called Mobilize. Mobilize is the exclusive online community for sports physical therapists. Here members can engage with each other on a variety of topics important to sports physical therapy. Whether it is a journal club, a simple question about a complex case, or a referral you would like to make, Mobilize should be your first stop allowing you tap into professionals across the country. Groups are organized around Special Interest Group (SIG) membership. If you have not yet selected your SIG membership, you can do so on the main website and then join us on Mobilize to continue the conversation. If you are a member and you have not had the chance to sign up for Mobilize yet, please visit https://www.aaspt.org/mobilize to sign up and join us! If you are not a member yet but would like more information on how to join and begin engaging with other physical therapists across the country, please email Membership Engagement Director, Jayme Little, at

Baseball 2021
Youth to the Big Leagues: Managing the Developing Player
Because of the ongoing uncertainties of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have decided to postpone this course to late fall 2021. This conference is designed to identify areas of concern or controversy in the management of baseball athletes in a team sport setting. Speakers have been selected to provide presentations on various medical topics. Key issues and up-to-date information on patient care and practice solutions will be addressed. Physicians will also participate in the surgical skills laboratory and test their skills at ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction, arthroscopic labral repair, and biceps tenodesis. Athletic trainers (ATs) will have the opportunity to witness the surgeries, ask questions, and in some cases have the chance to help with the procedure. More information is to come regarding a postponement date. Visit https://www.sportsmed.org for more information!
