National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA)
Earn Your CEUs in the NATA Professional Development Center
2019 is a reporting year, but that doesn’t mean you have to wait until the end of the year to earn the required 50 continuing education units (CEUs). Thanks to the NATA Professional Development Center (PDC), NATA members and nonmembers alike can earn their CEUs year-round, at their convenience. Launched in 2016, the NATA PDC—formerly the NATA Quiz Center—offers more than 250 courses that suit a variety of learning needs. Courses are sortable by keyword, category, domain, level, and type and cover a wide range of topics that athletic trainers encounter in their everyday practice. To accommodate the vast diversity of the athletic training profession, the NATA PDC is constantly updating, sourcing new content and repurposing original content. There are live webinars added to the catalog regularly as on-demand content. There are recorded lectures and presentations from the past 2 NATA conventions and Athletic Training Educators’ Conference, as well.
As an added bonus, NATA members can login to the PDC website and purchase courses using their 10 free CEU credits that come with their NATA membership. This member benefit supports lifelong learning and the ongoing enhancement of professional skills, leading to the ability to improve patient outcomes.
Pacing out the purchase and completion of CEUs allows an ease to this process. It also permits athletic trainers (ATs) to seek out courses that specifically cover issues or areas of interest that arise in everyday practice. ATs are encouraged to beat the rush and visit the NATA PDC regularly to complete their courses. This will allow ATs to avoid the end-of-year peak usage.
