Abstract
In this fragmented autoethnographic narrative, I focus on several incidents where silence functions as a political weapon and as a means for coping in these trouble times. Deploying silence is a rhetorical act that unfolds in ethical and unethical ways. It can serve, I argue, as a tactic for resistance and as a strategy to deceive and maintain power.
