Strategies for facilitation of tendon transfers following surgery for enhanced wrist extension in a patient with cerebral palsy are described.
The therapeutic process began prior to surgery with a thorough pre-operative assessment and evaluation. This case report emphasises the effectiveness of a closely monitored therapeutic programme following surgery, and promotes the comprehensive utilisation and supervision of facilitation techniques during subsequent rehabilitation.
