Abstract
Research has been identified as a priority for health service professionals to provide an evidence base for their practice. This report of a small-scale questionnaire study, carried out with therapists attending the BAHT Conference 2001, identifies the current level of research involvement of this group and the directions they considered important for subsequent investigation. These findings suggest interest and in-house involvement in audit and research activity, but low levels of publication and dissemination of findings. The preliminary results have informed the development of a full BAHT membership survey.
