Creativity is an essential part of being an occupational therapist. During the fabrication of a splint, creativity is used to increase the co-operation of the patient by making funny and/or aesthetic splints. Limited resources within occupational therapy departments can force us to be extra creative in the choice of materials used during the fabrication of splints. The purpose of this article is to describe and discuss the potential use of materials that can be used during splint making.
