Abstract
Skin cancer is one of the most common forms of cancer in the UK, with its incidence increasing over the last decade. This will have implications for the individual, society and the healthcare system. This article aims to outline the main types of skin cancer, explore some key risk factors contributing to skin cancer and discuss strategies that can be implemented to prevent skin cancer.
