Answer D. Orlistat should be discontinued if the patient has failed to lose ≥5% of their body weight over the first 3 months of use
Orlistat can be trialled in primary care where a patient has a BMI ≥30 kg/m2, or ≥28 kg/m2, with other risk factors including high blood pressure or high cholesterol. Orlistat should be discontinued if the patient has failed to lose ≥5% of their body weight over the first 3 months of use.
