Abstract

Answer A. Nasal sumatriptan
The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence recommends the use of simple analgesic medications for the treatment of acute migraine. In adolescents (aged 12 to 17 years old), a nasal triptan is suggested over an oral preparation, and sumatriptan is the only licenced option.
