The clinical picture within this case scenario is typical of a migraine with aura. Visual aura is most common and can include zigzag lines and/or scotoma. The headache is usually unilateral and can be moderate or severe and can be associated with nausea and vomiting as well as photophobia and/or phonophobia. It might often interfere with activities of daily living.
