Abstract
In general practice, chest pain is a common presentation, with a wide range of potential causes, some of which are potentially life-threatening. It is essential that GPs, often the first point of contact for patients, can assess and differentiate causes of chest pain to provide appropriate management in a timely manner. This article aims to provide readers with a diagnostic framework for assessing the patient presenting with chest pain and summarises the management of some key diagnoses.
