Abstract
Exercise is beneficial to health. Exercise can be undertaken by the majority of people and completed almost anytime and anywhere. To some it may be enjoyable and rewarding, to others daunting and alien. Regardless of how physical activity is perceived, we know that despite a multitude of health benefits, we are not doing enough. This article will explore the specific health benefits of physical activity, the current national recommendations and how we might get more of our patients to exercise regularly.
