Collapse of the proximal carpal row into flexion after distal radial fracture: recognition and treatment

Abstract

Early palmar carpal instability with proximal row collapse into flexion after a distal radial fracture is rarely reported. Fracture reduction alone may not restore alignment, whereas dorsal capsuloligamentous reinforcement may achieve stability, underscoring the importance of early recognition and combined treatment.
