Microfasciectomy improves the visualization of microanatomy during surgery for finger contractures caused by Dupuytren’s disease. This study identifies supernumerary micronerves in Dupuytren cords and discusses their role in the aetiology of the disease as well as implications for treatment. Transection during surgery is often unavoidable.
