Abstract
In May 2002, I attended the Ilizarov nurse and physiotherapist course at the Russian Ilizarov Scientific Centre for Restorative Traumatology and Orthopaedics in Kurgan, Russia. The course was set up in conjunction with Smith & Nephew. I was able to attend due to the generous support of the NATN Education Research Fellowship Fund (ERFF) and the Children's Appeal Nursing Scholarship Fund at Sheffield Children's Hospital.
