Abstract
Fiona's second series of articles develops the theme of ‘Effective Management – What is it?’ and will be launched at the NATN Annual Congress in October 2001. Since the publication of her book Achieving Best Practice - shaping professionals for success last year, many people have asked for the tools to implement her Model for Success. The following articles will offer the tools as practical suggestions of how to put best practice into practice. Fiona has selected four key areas where we can have a direct and immediate effect: handling conflict, influencing without authority, doing deals and making meetings effective.
