Abstract
This article studies the redundancy strategy problems for the phased mission systems. One of the typical PMSs is the aerospace systems, such as the satellite or the spacecraft. The requirement for the reliability of these systems is very high. The redundancy is a Common way to improve the system reliability. As a result, the redundancy allocation problems for the PMSs have attracted much attention. In most previous studies, the phase durations are assumed to be fixed. To deal with this problem, a system reliability evaluation procedure for the PMS with random phase durations, different redundancy strategies, and different kinds of components is proposed. Then, by the genetic algorithm, the optimal system structure is obtained. At last, an engineering case is proposed for illustration.
