Synthesis of Cluster Derivatives Containing the MRuCoSe (M = Mo or W) Core †

Abstract

The new clusters [MRuCo(CO)₈(μ₃-Se){η⁵-C₅H₄C(O)O Et}](M = Mo 2 or W 3) are isolated from the reaction of [RuCo₂(CO)₉(μ₃-Se)] 1 and [M(CO)₃{η⁵-C₅H₄C(O)OEt]^-(M = Mo or W), and the structure of cluster 2 has been established by single crystal X-ray diffraction methods.
