Abstract
In the aforementioned Editorial, the lines below in the first paragraph on Page 4 are redundant: The next paper (Whiteford and Byrne) develops this theme further by highlighting the
importance of bringing together care commissioners, frontline practitioners and people
with complex needs in communities of practice in order to improve care and gain common
understandings. Being a proponent of communities of practice (CoPs) (le May, 2009), I
noted with interest the areas identified in this paper for critical attention if CoPs
are to be used to enhance the integration of health and social care.
