Increased public awareness about health care issues has led to an increase in litigation cases against health care professionals, At the same time sonographers are extending their role in medical ultrasound, leaving them more vulnerable to litigation procedures. This study looked at a wide range of issues relating to medico-legal risk amongst sonographers. As it was part of a much wider study only some of the Key issues are discussed in this article.
