Abstract
Graham Morgan argues that educationalists should try to see children as clients. If we listen to what they have to say about their school experience this will energise quality assurance systems in schools. He suggests that the quality approach known as BSI 5750 provides a rich resource of how to use such client perceptions. A worker in a Local Authority Equal Opportunity Unit, in this article he explores the views of primary pupils in two schools on efforts to move from equal opportunity policy to practice.
