The incidence of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is increasing, both in Canadian hospitals and worldwide, and is frequently covered in the media. As a result, pharmacists may get questions about MRSA, or encounter patients who are “MRSA-positive.” This letter will address a number of points regarding MRSA.
