Abstract
This case addresses the issue of student-student sexual harassment in public schools. Lisa Brown, a high school student, was sexually harassed on a daily basis by a group of four boys. She reported the incidents to school authorities, but no effective action was taken. She and her mother eventually filed suit, alleging a violation of Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. This case illustrates a school districtís exposure to legal liability for student-on-student sexual harassment under standards recently articulated by the U.S. Supreme Court in Davis v. Monroe County Board of Education.
