Abstract
A school administrator is presented with three versions of an incident of insubordination in a school with gang related problems. The student appears to be an innocent bystander. The teacher on hall duty is trying to do his job. The attendance staff person seeks to be caregiving. Weighing the evidence presented from each individualís perspective, the administrator must decide what action is appropriate and how best to communicate with all the persons involved.
