This paper presents a fuzzy approach to modeling the arms race between the United States and China. In the proposed model, we integrate fuzzy logic with differential equations, enabling the modeling of strategic interactions between the two nations in a non-linear manner, differing from the original Richardson model. This methodology allows for the incorporation of quantitative data and expert knowledge on conflicts into the differential equations-based mathematical model. By studying the phase plane of the fuzzy model, it is possible to analyze scenarios of stability and tension escalation in the dynamics of the arms race.
