Abstract
Iliac veins can be a challenge, even for an experienced sonographer. However, identifying compression of the iliac veins is crucial in evaluating patients with lower extremity swelling when no other vascular abnormalities are evident. This case highlights a post-surgical mass compressing the right common iliac vein in a 59-year-old man who presented with progressively worsening right leg pain and edema following prostatectomy. Doppler ultrasound is a valuable diagnostic tool for identifying iliac vein pathology and monitoring treatment results.
