Abstract
Superficial temporal artery pseudoaneurysm is a rare complication mostly occurring after blunt force trauma to the temporal region. Due to its rare incidence, a high index of suspicion is required for early diagnosis and treatment. This is a case of a pseudoaneurysm of the superficial temporal artery in a 40-year-old man who presented with a progressively enlarging mass on his forehead following a fall 2 weeks prior. Sonography with Doppler ultrasound is a valuable diagnostic modality for identifying pseudoaneurysms and monitoring the results of treatment. Prompt diagnosis and management by surgical ligation, ultrasound-guided thrombin injection, or interventional radiological approaches such as endovascular embolization or coiling will prevent complications like rupture and hemorrhage of the pseudoaneurysm.
