Abstract

The goal of this journal is to publish timely, comprehensive, and authoritative reviews in the rather broad area of Oral Biology and Medicine. One of the objectives of this journal is to provide resource material for educators at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. In addition, it is hoped that this journal will be of interest to individuals engaged in basic and clinical research who wish to have some inkling of advances occurring in areas other than their own special interest. The majority of the articles published so far have been written at the invitation of the Editor and members of the Editorial Board. This should not preclude individuals from submitting unsolicited reviews. However, potential authors are strongly urged to contact the Editor before embarking on the preparation of a manuscript. This will avoid significant duplication and overlap of material that has recently been published or is in the process of being published. The Editor will welcome from the readership “Letters to the Editor”, announcements of Oral Biology Graduate Programs and Research Conferences (keeping in mind that this journal is published bi-monthly), and suggestions for topics that merit a review. This peer-reviewed journal is published bi-monthly and will continue to serve as the official publication of the American Association of Oral Biologists.
