Abstract
The author compares the educational theories of Laurent A. Daloz (Mentor) and Parker J. Palmer (The Courage to Teach) and how they fit into Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE). He implies as well the questions, “Do the holocaust and September 11, 2001 have anything to teach pastoral educators about the nature of change in education?” and “Is transformation a legitimate goal for pastoral educators or more than students can bear?”
