Abstract
This paper describes initial development of a method for assessing Military Intelligence (MI) occupational specialties in their capability to meet new Intelligence Electronic Warfare (IEW) system performance demands. The method is based on the abilities requirements approach first elaborated by Fleishman and Quaintance (1984). Development involved: identification of ability dimensions, selection of ability elicitation procedure, incorporation of Intelligence-specific functional overlay to the procedure, and iterative administration of the procedure with experts. Discussed are the refinements to the method achieved, the development of working databases, and how this method will be applied to match between IEW systems demands and current MI capabilities.
