The main control room at Ontario Hydro's Darlington Nuclear Generating Station contains the operator interface systems for the four generating units, the common services, and the on-power fuelling equipment. As in all CANDU plants, extensive use is made of digital computer control of the reactor and major process systems, however, at Darlington, a greater reliance is placed on the use of CRT-based information displays as the primary operator interface.
