Abstract
A relatively new mathematical modeling theory and methodology, Q-analysis, appears to be suited for dealing with issues that concern complex systems and the users of those systems. The method of Q-analysis is concerned with the relations between the elements of a system and their often complex implicit structure. The elements of Q-analysis will be described in familiar terms and demonstrated using an illustrative example problem. Several measures, viz. the first structure coefficient, eccentricity, concentricity, and complexity, will be demonstrated.
