Abstract
In a multi-year effort sponsored by the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, human factors, risk analysis, and software specialists have developed a software package workstation. This Nuclear Computerized Library for Assessing Reactor Reliability (NUCLARR) supports probabilistic safety analysis (PSA) and other risk assessment efforts by providing a repository of both human error probability rates, and hardware component failure data. The NUCLARR workstation package consists of a set of floppy diskettes, and accompanying documentation which guides the user through the simple installation procedures, as well as presenting detailed descriptions of the resident data and the software package capabilities. The majority of data contained in NUCLARR are error rates measured at nuclear power plants. However, many human operations data are not specific to the nuclear industry and may be used for analyses in other settings.
