Abstract
This Panel will discuss concepts, plans and recent research into the nature of strategic behavior. Strategic behavior is defined as behavior, typical of “real” tasks, where the operator has considerable freedom to chose different ways of performing a set of tasks each of which is a component of his or her overall goal. The overall aim of the Panel will be to define the prerequisites for a program of research in this area.
