Abstract
A survey aimed at assessing the adequacy of the written testing materials used in certifying sport SCUBA divers was administered to 11 student divers. The results indicated that the areas of training concerned with the diving environment and with diving procedures were in need of improvement. Since these topics are critical to dive safety, it was concluded that improving the written training materials might have a positive impact on diving accidents and injuries.
