The paper reports an evaluation of a video storage system used in conjunction with closed circuit televisions for surveillance purposes. When multiple intrusions occur simultaneously, video storage permits the user to assess intrusions that might otherwise be missed. A study of specific display characteristics was undertaken to optimize the effectiveness of the video storage system.
