An alternative to current wheelchair drive mechanisms is presented. This system utilizes more energy efficient and powerful body motions than current rim drive systems. It is designed to duplicate the desirable maneuverability, feel, and control inherent in rim drives. Comparisons are made to other reciprocating drive systems.
