The frequent involvement of motorcycles in traffic accidents is often related to ineffective use of the motorcycle's front brake. This experiment examines the difference in response time between two rider hand positions for front brake response. The proposed covered position shows a response time advantage of approximately one and one half over the more traditional uncovered brake control.
