Abstract
The present study was designed to determine if the home row to table top height (35 mm, 64 mm, 84 mm, 104 mm) for an 11 degree keyboard angle affects typists keyboard performance and preference. The design was a full factorial 2 × 2 × 2 × 4 (Keyboard Manufacturer × Run Length × Pre/Post Typing Test × Keyboard Height). Forty-eight typists participated in the study. Results showed no significant differences in performance. However there were significant preference differences. The preference data showed typists preferred the 84mm and 64mm keyboards.
