This paper presents a methodology developed for determining terminal characteristics. The methodology is based on work performed for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC). Specifically, this work was part of a task to provide human factors support to the development of the Network Control Center (NCC). The overall system engineering methodology used for system development was CSC's Digital System Development Methodology (DSDM) (CSC, 1984). The methodology developed for determining terminal characteristics is an extension of CSC's general methodology.
