Abstract
The Naval Air Systems Command is presently developing and evaluating the Marine Corp's Helicopter Night Vision System (HNVS). A major input in the technical development of the HNVS was a program of simulation research to obtain human factors data on aircrew performance. The research systematically addressed alternative design configurations and reduced the number of human factors variables to a manageable level for flight test validation.
