Abstract
For the successful implementation of computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), management should plan in advance and involve all the people concerned to develop a “consensus” toward a common goal. The management should explain to the workers the advantages of CAM: job security through competitive strength, easier and safer work, a longer working life and better pay. Develop a sound company labor policy to provide “psychological security” through guaranteed job security, pay, job status and seniority. Provide a continuous training program to update workers skills for dealing with CAM.
