Abstract
A complex tactical display terminal has been designed with operator input/output utility identified as an important criterion for design emphasis. Careful attention to the locations and interactions between the components of a user-computer interface has resulted in a display terminal capable of supporting the communication, analysis, and decision making tasks required of operators in automated command and control systems.
