This paper describes the use of the WESTT software tool to support the specification of a user interface for incident command. Observations of fire-fighters on training courses were captured in a spreadsheet and fed into the WESTT tool which then constructs social network, use-case, sequence diagram and propositional network analyses. Following this, a form of class diagram is constructed that can be used as the basis for user interface design. The designs were well received by the target audience.
