Abstract
Testing and Evaluation (T&E) has always evolved with changing technologies and contexts. The intent of this symposium is to challenge ourselves – as human factors/ergonomics (HF/E) professionals – to look beyond the stereotypical, engineering-oriented problem space. Specifically our goals are to: Think outside the HF/E “box” defined by metrics associated with speed, accuracy, and human capabilities and limitations, and to begin to address emerging challenges related to complexity, context, and changing goals.
