Abstract
Traditional event recording means to predefine and memorise function keys or abbreviations codes. Those tools doesn't fulfil the Ergonomic Dialogue Design Criteria, especially the self-descriptiveness, individualisation and learnability. Using such devices to analyse and improve Man-Machine systems is paradox. The FIT-System (Flexible Interface Technique) — a new method to record observational data — can improve this (figure 1)
