This paper addresses the question of ergonomics/ human factors definition. If more than one author is consulted will find differences. Some says ergonomics is a science, others declare it is a technology or even a scientific knowledge about the man. There are ergonomists that emphasise the design as a separating line - ergonomics versus psychology, physiology, and anthropology. The concept of technology is discussed to have arguments to define ergonomics as a technology substantive and operative.
