The aim of this article is to discuss the problem of measuring and enhancing productivity. To this end, there will be an introductory discussion of the concept of productivity. Then the method ProMES-Productivity Measurement and Enhancement System will be presented. Some reflections on the relations between productivity and ergonomics are made, along with the need to develop new tools as a support to the method.
