Abstract
The purpose of the study is to present a biomechanical and anthropometric approach to evalueted two consumer products: crib and refrigerator and help generated new project parameters as a part of a main study of usability. The metodology based on videotaping users manipulation of products in actual and experimental situation. At same time we rated the disconfort of the the consumersin The biomechanical analysis haappened at Ergonomic Laboratory at National Institute of Tecnology, where we have the condition to simulated the actual situation, and the new one and compare results, using representative users, that are invited to take part of the experiment. The tapes were analysed in a videocinematography system BIOMEC. This system have different biomechanical models that help to estimate the load at human body. The result of this approach have been applied in many studies of products and in two cases the new parameters have been incorporeted in the products: the study of crib and the inside door of refrigerator.
